Monday 14th September, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, is the feast day of our Church and of the Irish Dominican Province.
Traditionally, it is the day when Irish Dominicans are clothed in the habit. We wish the brothers of our community here at Holy Cross every blessing on their anniversary of receiving the habit.
On Monday 14th, five men will be clothed in the habit as they begin the novitiate year in our community at Pope's Quay, Cork.
On Tuesday 15th, the Memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows, two of our student brothers will make simple profession.
On Saturday next, 19th September, Br Bruno Mary Kelleher OP will be ordained to the Order of Priesthood, and Brs Mark Murphy OP, Nathan Peer OP and Philip Neri Mather OP will be ordained to the Order of Deacon.
