Prior Fr David McGovern OP made a presentation to the Master of the Order to mark his recent visit to Holy Cross Tralee and his celebration of Mass at Poll an Aifrinn in commemoration of martyred Fr Thaddeus Moriarty OP.
In keeping with tradition, the original 1651 'Moriarty Chalice' was used by the Master during Holy Mass. Fr David's presentation specifically acknowledged the Master's elevation of the Chalice over the Mass Rock altar - an 'altar of courage' as described by Provincial Fr John Harris OP in his homily.
