‘The Way of Beauty with Fra Angelico’ Dominican Jubilee Pilgrimage 2025 departed for Rome on Thursday November 20th. Fr David OP, along with Prior Provincial Fr John Harris OP and Fr Michael Dunleavy OP are Spiritual Directors for the week-long pilgrimage to many treasured Christian sites in Rome, Florence and Orvieto.
Their first visit on day one in Rome was to the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major where they were joined by our good friends Fr Sunil Lobo OP and Fr Fabio Alexis Sánchez OP.
The time in Rome shall incorporate visits to the Dominican Church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva to visit the tombs of Blessed Fra Angelico and St. Catherine of Siena, St. Peter's Basilica, the Catacomb of St. Callixtus and more. In Florence, the pilgrims shall attend Mass at the Duomo and also at the Convent of San Marco where renowned Dominican painter Fra Angelico lived and adorned its spaces with beautiful frescoes. A stop-off in Orvieto to view the Corporal of Bolsena of the Eucharistic Miracle of Bolsena will be one of the final highlights of this special Jubilee pilgrimage. We wish all a blessed pilgrimage.
