We were honoured to be joined by Bishop Ray Browne in Holy Cross on Saturday, when he presided at the solemn celebration of our Holy Father Saint Dominic.
Fr Billy Hoyne OFM and Br Pat Lynch OFM Guardian of the Franciscan Friary in Killarney, along with priests of the parish and Dominican brothers from across Europe, joined us at the celebration of Holy Mass. We are grateful for their contribution, in particular that of Fr Billy OFM who preached the homily, recalling the nature of our orders' fraternity, rooted in preaching the Holy Gospel.
It was wonderful to have Holy Cross choir return after their summer break, and to enjoy, particularly in O Lumen Ecclesiae, their beautiful honouring of Saint Dominic.
Our Lay Dominican Women's Chapter and Men's Chapter were among the large congregation gathered in prayer, in an important week for the Lay Fraternities of St. Dominic in Europe which saw their 12th European Assembly take place in Maynooth.
